Welcome to my Blog, a Crafting Year

Hello
I taught myself to knit in 2011 I have been posting photos of my knitting creations on facebook but as I am starting to bore my friends I have created this blog to record my progress. Then I thought I might try my hand at other crafts and see how I get along. I will try a different craft every month and you can read about my successes and failures and even laugh at my photos as I try different things like felting, crochet, sewing, papercrafts etc and try and make a few things from the kids favourite book Star Wars crafts, amongst others...lets see how it goes

We have a sleeve!

Well its taken a while as I must admit that I got a little bored making this sleeve but its done now
Now I have to knit another one to match :o/

I have been knitting a few little things on the side though. I am making lots of little i-cord tubes to be used as caterpillars at my RSPB job. I am using up lots of scraps of green, brown and red wool and I need to make 30. Then we will hide them in a hedgerow and ask the children to guess how many they have seen. I also need to knit 18 bees but I will start them after I have finished the other sleeve. So close now to starting the cabling to make the Owls and then I will be nearly there.
Happy Knitting
