The jumper I am making is from a wonderful designer called Kate Davies. She sells her designs on her blog

It is called 'Owls' and is made 'in the round' basically knitted in a tube so seamless using circular needles. Its going ok so far although I did shed a tear or two when my needle snapped as I was knitting and I had to pick up al the stitches or loose them.

This is how far along I am. I now need to make the sleeves, also 'in the round' but I am waiting on the new needles arriving so watch this space.....
In the mean time I have been practising my cabling technique by making fingerless clothes. Cabling is where you literally twist the stistches to form a cable pattern
These are for my eldest son Jacob to take on a school trip to Wales for a week in January
