So I have a chart to follow instead of a pattern. I see more & more patterns using charts now and I see them alot in crochet books. Here's a glimpse of the owls one.
So I start my chart once the children are at school so I have a good chunk of time with no distractions. The pattern is repeated 20 times which I thought was going to be difficult but actually once you get going you fall into a rhythm
Can you see what it is yet??
Finished Owls close up
Nearly complete jumper!!
A close up of the finished Owl
Really pleased with how this has gone and so close to finishing. I now need to increase the back of the jumper (knit and wrap) then do an inch or so of rib.
However I have run out of wool! So I had to drive to Andover to Love Yarn to buy some more.
I was a bit lazy and didn't really look at the map so got massively lost :( A 30 min journey took over an hour and when I got there they didn't have the wool!! I could have cried, however Love Yarn is a fab shop so they made me a cup of tea (priceless) and then had a damn good rummage and found me my wool :o) The lovely Becky also gave me decent directions home and showed me how to do the next steps of my jumper as she has already made it. Now thats what I call customer service!
I am back there next week to start the crochet course so I must get on as I have a week to finish this jumper and I have the wool
