Welcome to my Blog, a Crafting Year

Hello
I taught myself to knit in 2011 I have been posting photos of my knitting creations on facebook but as I am starting to bore my friends I have created this blog to record my progress. Then I thought I might try my hand at other crafts and see how I get along. I will try a different craft every month and you can read about my successes and failures and even laugh at my photos as I try different things like felting, crochet, sewing, papercrafts etc and try and make a few things from the kids favourite book Star Wars crafts, amongst others...lets see how it goes

Look what I bought!

Ok I know I'm supposed to be catching up with all I've been up to but I had to show you this

Its a pile of 7 balls of Rowan's gorgeous new felted tweed Celadon 184 Isn't it beautiful?!

I also bought a contrast colour

Watery Shade 152

Then of course I needed a pattern

Because I still haven't finished my jumper...or my husbands hat...or my sons blanket....

However I just couldn't resist this beautiful pattern book as I wanted to make everything in it

I bought all this booty at Love Yarn in Andover where I attended a finishing course run by Fiona who shared some gems on how to sew all your projects together beautifully. It was a real eye opener but I will share more of that another day.

For today I will leave you with how I remind George (age 8) to remember he has a club at lunchtime on a Thursday  Have a good day
